Same problem, but I wan unable to reduce icons size since I've closed window. When I've opened it again icons were small, but desktop icons stay large. The only way I've found was dconf-editor: org -> gnome -> nautilus -> icon view -> default zoom level ** Attachment added: "desk.png"
