it's 2023 and this is still an issue. I'm trying with an ethernet
connection and if I trigger for it to connect automatically with a VPN
then my Ubuntu logs in with neither connected: I have to MANUALLY click
on WIRED Connection then both connects correctly.
This is incredible.

@Mathieu, the issue described here was fixed, it's probably best to open
a new bug (& upstream as well if possible) with a full journal log and

Hi,
I upgraded from 19.04 to 19.10, thinking that this would have solved the
bug since Gnome-shell is now 3.34, but the issue is still here.
I have no VPN auto-connect on Wifi network, but doing it manually works.
Please can you finally fix this ?
