When using a fresh install of Ubuntu 17.10 desktop on a Lenovo T570
laptop in a Lenovo ThinkPad Ultra Dock (40A20090XX), with the buitin
monitor off (laptop closed) and 3 external 1920 x 1080 monitors (1 x
Acer V246HL VGA, 2 x Dell P2417H DisplayPort) display arrangement in
Settings | Devices | Displays does not work. The Dell monitors show up
as 4 and 3, the Acer as 2. 1, the builtin monitor, is not displayed in
the arrangement area. The monitor icons show up, left to right, in the
order 4, 3, 2. It is almost impossible to change that order. I have
managed, in 1 out of 20 attempts, to get the display icons into a 4, 2,
3 order, but in no case have I been able to apply any arrangement
changes. The Apply button is never displayed. I want to get them into
a 2, 4, 3 order. This was not an issue in Ubuntu Gnome 17.04, in that
version everything worked fine.
