Public bug reported: Ubuntu 18.04 LTS
gnome-shell 3.28.1-0ubuntu2 Repro: 1. Cold boot OR resume from standby OR lock (e.g. super + L) and wait for screen to fade 2. Use mouse to reveal password input 3. (optional, can happen whether or not you do this) Right click password box and select "Show Text" 4. Press SHIFT + (any key) Expected result: Character corresponding to SHIFT + key is inputted into the password box. Actual result: Character corresponding to key (without SHIFT) is inputted into the password box. Other notes: If any key is pressed prior to inputting password then the SHIFT + key works properly. E.g. if I press enter to reveal the password input, or if I press SHIFT an extra time before step 4 of the repro. ** Affects: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Summary changed: - Shift key sometimes does not work for first character of password + Shift key does not work for first character of password -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1770883 Title: Shift key does not work for first character of password To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1770883/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
