after test again:
- remove:
the files are maintained in hard disk, but the don't appear at music library
(at any partition)
- move to trash:
in partition different from user home: the files are conserved at disk and it
appears next time you load rhythmbox
May someone able to reproduce the bug take this upstream? For forwarding

sorry, when you remove delete the file from library but it's still at hard disk.
Next time you load rhythmbox, the file is not shown at library.

Hi, I tested in Hardy
'remove' and 'move to trash' only work in partition where you have your user
home
if you have two partitions and your home is /home/user:
/dev/sda1 mounted and /home
/dev/sda2 mounted and /
Then files in /home/user/music:
- 'move to trash' delete file from hard dis
Is this still the same with the current hardy?

This is my testing partition, so /, /home etc. is all on the one
partition that I referred to as my "main" Hardy partition.
I also have a different Ubuntu install on the same machine. This error
occurs if I use the rhythmbox in the Hardy install to "move to trash"
a file that is on the ext3 partit
Thanks for your report, What is your main partition? /home? Can you
clarify? Moving to trash here with Hardy works fine.
