I just upgraded from Ubuntu 20.04 LTS to 22.04.1 LTS. In 20.04 LTS this
worked as expected, but no longer in 22.04.1 LTS. My screen resolution
is 1366 x 768 (16:9). It does work when I disable or auto-hide the dock,
but this is more of a workaround than a solution in my opinion.

Another stupid limitation from GNOME.
Should be fixed as 1366x768 resolution is used very often.
Writing from laptop with this resolution.
If GNOME can't support then I'll remove GNOME.

Title:
The issue seems similar to
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/nautilus/issues/411 where upstream stated
that the minimal width is 729 and more than half of the screen which is
why it's can be set.
