The problem is that laptop go to suspend during boot because lid is closed. The behavior is actually highly depends on the hardware you use. It works for me with Lenovo Thinkpad P52 + Lenovo Thinkpad Thunderbolt 3 Gen2 dock station. Here is my full logind.conf: #NAutoVTs=6 #ReserveVT=6
