ubuntu 7.10, compiz is running. I assume it is compiz that is running when I go System / Preferences / Appearence / Visual Affects and select something other than "none" (no mention of compiz from this tab, but the eye-candy goes into effect). I can reproduce this bug only when compiz is running.
