There was indeed a directory named extensions, which I have deleted. I have attached the last crash, which took a long time to trigger. I did not deliberately suspend and the laptop was charging so it should not have slept in the 3 days it has been running. The crash occurred shortly after

More ideas: 1. Please check ~/.local/share/gnome-shell/ and ensure there is no subdirectory named 'extensions'. If there is one then remove it. 2. Your system logs seem to show you're using sleeping to work around the original problem, as mentioned in the bug description at the top of the page.

Not sure if it's helpful but here's another crash from today. Pretty sure network-manager crashed which has happened before, as i lost connection to my SSH'd devices and could not connect back to my AP. Complete freeze happened promptly after. This happened after using a usb-hub switch. **
