OK, now how can I turn this off? I really liked the zoom when it took
the picture and vertically alligned it to top but not to the center. It
is more suitable if you wnat to have a portrait-like picture as a
wallpaper.
Is there any way to change allignment of zoomed wallpapers?

I have this problem too.
Images larger than the screen are not centered with centered or
zoom. The top edges of images never go past the top edge of the
screen, and the left edges of images never go past the left edge of the
screen.

I was using gnome 2.21.xx and I have current no PC to test it with 2.22.xx
(just died)
It happens when right-clicking on the desktop and selecting *change desktop
bg*. I only expirienced the bug there, but as allready pointed out, no way to
check wether it is present anywhere else.

It happens with both:
The background itself is not centered, while the thumbnail is both
off-center and clipped.
I'm guessing that Nautilus is managing, since I usually right-click on
the desktop to change the background. However, I also tried changing
it via the control panel with the same

upstream has some questions on the issue
Not reproducible here (all 2.22.0).
Does it happen in the background, the background thumbnail, or both?
Is nautilus managing the background, or g-s-d?
Exact versions of nautilus, g-s-d, and gnome-desktop involved?
could you reply to those?
