I came across the 'Power Manager unchecked' problem as well. Given that responses seem to suggest that this is the cause for most people, I suggest that this bug be about that problem, and if someone has a different cause, file a separate bug. That said, aside from whether the quit dialoge should

I'm being affected by this as well. ctrl-alt-backspace works for me. I've been using #sudo shutdown -h now as a workaround. Additionally I am getting init.d S99 automount - permission denied and CIFS VFS server not responding, though I believe these to be unrelated. -- [Hardy] Selecting Quit
