Well, actually I already did it, despite what I wrote... (the hope is the last to die, you know...). BTW, patches against f-spot in my PPA fix an annoying bug and have some cleaning and improvements (see changelog for 0.6.1.5-0ubuntu2~[1,2]) but ATM I have no time to refresh them against git.
