sudo apt-get install nautilus-share
restart.
I now have "Sharing Options" when I right click on a folder, solved the
above issue for me.

those are not constructive comments, did you read the previous comment?
do you have nautilus-share installed?
no need to comment there about other bugs, and shares-admin was not
helping anybody at all neither since it was not making possible to share
anonymously nor to set login and password, whic
I installed nautilus-share now, but unfortunately it didn't help me at
all. See Bug #208715 which is a big blocker IMHO.

Thank you for your bug report. That is not a nautilus bug, shares-admin
has been replaced by nautilus-share, ubuntu-desktop has not been updated
to trigger the new package yet though. The folder are still shared,
there is no reason than the samba config should have been changed

I got exactly the same problem. Shared folders is also gone in the menu
so it seems to be impossible to activate shared folders.
