I've had this problem on 2 laptops so far. Dell Inspiron 14R and Dell
XPS15. The alsamixergui seems to have fixed the Inspiron but I've had no
luck with the XPS.

I found out it was because of the external drive changing names. Adding
the "_" after every boot. that is fixed now, thank you.

I think it because there was an update that screwed up the disk
mounting, so it mount in different location each boot.
example /media/Music/ becomes /media/Music_/ then /media/Music__/ then
/media/Music___/ etc...
