Hi, im getting this error on 7.04. . .I installed 7.04 server and then
the desktop package on top - got the error mentioned above when setting
panels to transparent.
previously on the same machine i had 7.04 desktop only installed and it
worked fine. . . any ideas?

This happens on all themes etc. . . the attached screenshot is how the
top panel is displayed as 100% transparent, with a solid black desktop
background.

gnome-panels placed dont go
I've seen this happening with some themes, but this is no more the case since
gnome 2.14.
I suppose this bug is fixed then. Feel free to reopen it if you are still able
to reproduce it in Breezy and tell us what theme you are using.
