Thank you for your work on that, the log seems to have no crash and
lacks debug symbols for gvfs and libdbus though so it's not really
useful

This was a pain in the arse by the way, just so you know! :P
I replaced /usr/lib/gvfs/gvfsd-ftp with a script, and moved the binary
to gvfsd-ftp.real.
Script was just:
#/bin/sh
G_SLICE=always-malloc G_DEBUG=gc-friendly valgrind -v --tool=memcheck
--leak-check=full --num-callers=40
I'm not sure if I can get this to crash the same way, consistently, BTW.
Sometimes I can get as far as opening the /mirrors folder, others it just
dies as soon as I've logged in anonymously.
