Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

I have a fresh install of Ubuntu Hardy (AMD 64-bit version).

Viewing gloom in rhythmbox causes either rhythmbox or gstreamer to
crash.

The error message rhythmbox prompts is as follows:
"""Unable to start visualization
Failed to link new visual effect into the GStreamer pipeline"""

The other default visualisation (Monoscope) works fine, as do projectm
visualisations.

To reproduce, in Rhythmbox 0.11.5:
1) Enable the visualisation plugin;
2) Start playing music in rhythmbox;
3) Click the visualisation icon, 'Monoscope' should display;
4) From the drop-down menu listing visualisations available, select 'Gloom';
5) Music will continue playing, but Gloom wont run, a plain black area where
the visual should be is displayed;
6) Go back to the drop-down menu and select 'Monoscope' again (this will expose
the bug). You are prompted with the above error, music stops playing and
rhythmbox becomes unresponsive. Eventually you are required to 'Force Quit'.

** Affects: rhythmbox (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
