Binary package hint: vinagre
I installed Ubuntu 8.04 LTS on a Dell Dimension 2400 and experimented
vinagre with a French keyboard.
This package seems a promising substitute to vncviewer, however the
management of control and accented characters is presently broken.
- Some control characters are not passed to the remote computer. As an
example control-w closes the vinagre session !
- The Alt Gr composite key is not recognized, making impossible to
generate a bunch of accented characters.
