basically i figure gtk has support for mouse scrolling via interpreting
buttons 4 and 5 as "scroll up" and "scroll down" instructions
which are the discrete movements we already have
which are quite large
i'm thin
unconfirming for now, I don't understand how that's a toolkit issue, the
trackpad events are likely handled by xorg, you don't need to have gtk
installed to use a trackpad
