hey murray, sorry for the delay to reply, we have a manpower issue there
and nobody is looking specifically to the g*mm updates but I've added
those on my list of things to update in hardy now

So is an updated glibmm likely to be shipped in Ubuntu Hardy? Upstream
makes bug-fixes so they can be shipped.

Similar problem here. It segfaults but works with sudo. Perhaps related?

backtrace done, ~/.xsession-errors file not found. gnome-system-monitor works
with sudo/root but i don't know if it works with new user.
reading bug report, i think that errors are linked to theme (maybe).
