Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus
Hello, I realized that when clicking twice on the "open parent folder"-button (the up-arrow) really fast (faster than normal double-click), an inconsitency arises: The folder displayed in the big window is the grand parent of the folder I started the action with. This is what I expected Nautilus to do, since I hit the appropriate button twice. But the address bar shows the path to the parent folder, that is one level above the first folder, not two. In addition, the title bar of nautilus displays the name of this parent folder, not the grand parent. Now I am not able to open this parent folder by double-clicking on it in the big window. This error can be reproduced from any folder that has a grand parent folder. This bug might be somewhat similar to https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/226223 I am running Ubuntu 8.04.1. The attached picture shows the inconsistency: Title and address bar indicate the folder is /home/jvitense/Dokumente, but the big window shows the contents of /home/jvitense/ Note that a double-click on the folder "Dokumente" does not work. ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Nautilus doesn't update title and address bar when clicking twice on open parent folder button https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/243942 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
