OK, this was strange. Out of the blue, Evolution popped up a handful of appointment alerts. So apparently part of the application was running in the background. I decided to attempt to launch Evolution and it launched correctly. It even showed the folder subscription that I had selected that se

I tried to start with a new user and I had the same problem. I then enabled the 'Proposed' repository so that I could update to the latest version. That doesn't seem to have helped either. Does evolution store settings someplace other than at /home/username/.evolution? I've tried to delete my '.
