As Daniel Holbach said, spell-checking is now available in Epiphany, you
can even configure the language with spellchecker.dictionnary in
about:config, so I'm closing this bug. Feel free to reopen.

English spellcheck works fine with 2.16 now.
Any reason to keep this bug open?
Or maybe you want to implement spell corrections (that would be great
!).

This is somewhat out of date now as Epiphany supports the Gecko spelling
extension natively.
