This bug was solved by removing ~/.gnome2/epiphany. But it is only a
workaround, of course. I keep the original .gnome2/epiphany folder for
investigations.

thank you for your bug report, what ubuntu version do you use? do you
use epiphany-gecko or epiphany-webkit? the issue seems to be an upstream
one, could you open the bug directly on bugzilla.gnome.org? you have
better chance to get a reply by contacting people writting the code
rather than

I'm sorry I forgot to tell that I was using latest Epiphany Gecko in
Ubuntu 8.04.1 with all upgrade done.
