Thanks. It seems that something has messed up your
/usr/lib/libasound.so.2 sym-link (most likely the installation of OSS4).
This explains the undefined symbols problem from the Python interpreter.
This file should link to /usr/lib/libasound.so.2.0.0 on a default
install of libasound2. I'm going to
