The main menu is now the default menu in Natty - this really should be
taken care of.

Turns out for the end user to fix this on their own machine, which its
inelegance would almost drive them to do, they have to literally modify
source code and recompile the applet. Seriously. For one boolean.
Anybody have any luck changing the boolean with ghex2 instead of going
through a
Closing theme task , as this needs to be fixed in the applet. Not much
the theme can do here.

My arrow points down.. Which I believe is to mean that there is a menu
below it. I suspect it is supposed to be there by design.

Yes, the arrow points in the direction that the menu will expand. However
the arrow on top of the icon doesn't look right. The indicator applets also
have menus when you click on them, but don't have arrows. Hence I question

This issue has become more apparent since the icon used by default has
become a grayscale icon. Also no other panel applets / indicator applets
have an arrow overlaid.

Thanks for the follow-up. That encouraged me to actually file it. When
you're working, sometimes things are left behind. the bug number is:

the icon looks good when using the default theme and that's an upstream
choice, that should really be discussed on bugzilla.gnome.org rather
when people writting the code will read the bug, could you open a bug
report there?
