I'm having the same problem on an Intrepid upgrade from 8.4. When clicking the one of the 3 app launcher buttons (web browser, mail, help) on screen1, gnome-panel becomes unresponsive on both screens, consumes 100% CPU, and opens a blank error dialog that I can't close. Interestingly, I have X
