Sure xmonad doesn't support it, but that was not what I complained
about. I don't think the work space switcher should go crazy, if the
window manager doesn't support some of it's features.

This bug is still present on beta version of Ubuntu Jaunty.
I used xmonad from the Ubuntu xmonad-package.
to reproduce:
1. install xmonad: sudo apt-get install xmonad
2. At the end of your ~/.profile, add the following: export
WINDOW_MANAGER=/usr/bin/xmonad
3. logout
4. login
5. right click on
cybe...@eval:~$ apt-cache show libwnck22|grep Version
Version: 2.24.1-0ubuntu1
Custom built xmonad 0.8 from http://xmonad.org/
(configuration file ~/.xmonad/xmonad.hs attached)

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better, but unfortunately I've been unable to reproduce your
issue on Ubuntu 8.10. Can you reproduce this issue with an Ubuntu LIVE
CD and report back if the problem still exists on Ubuntu 8.10 LIVE CD?
