Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-media

Using a fully updated jaunty Ubuntu with amd64 architecture.
When I try to open gnome-volume-control it takes several minutes for the window
to appear.

gnome-media is version 2.25.1-0ubuntu1

Using pulseaudio.

Running the app from terminal yields the following output

$ gnome-volume-control

And then the window appear.

The bug is reproducible everytime.
There's another bug concerning gnome-volume-control already being run by
bootup/session, but I checked and that's not an issue in this case.

Also you might notice Exaile is running. The bug also occurs when no
audio stream is playing.
