i mean gtkpod the application, and libgpod is the library that allows to
rhythmbox and gtkpod to talk with the ipods and copy/delete/etc
information to them. but since it's working now i'm closing this report,
feel free to reo pen if you can provide us more information about it,

ill try and be more clear...
if you have a *completely new* ipod shuffle... rhythymbox will not copy
files to it.
once i synced it with songbird it became initialized and i was able to add
songs to it...
the second problem is that once the songs are loaded the ipod does not
recognise or play

a. i have no idea wht you are talking about :)
b. once my workaround was done... the problem has gone away -forever- but i
expect it will exist for all new ipod shuffles and perhaps all ipods??
note that i *never* plugged the ipod into a windows
