This isn't a gnome-session issue. It sounds like Xorg or the kernel is
freezing. Tentatively reassigning to xorg-server for now.
Could you please do the following:
1. Please run sudo lspci -vvnn lspci.log and attach the resulting file
lspci.log to this bug report.
