Sorry guys, problem is solved. I don't know how, but the file suffix on the CentOS installation was changed to *.tgz. With this suffix, file- roller was able to unpack the file. With *.tgtz, file-roller reports an unsupported file type even if it's the same file. This is the same behaviour as in Ub
