why do you think that's a gnome-screensaver bug? it only listens for
event, if you don't use the keyboard or the mouse it triggers which is
expected

It is not a gnome-screensaver bug, of course.
For the record: there is gnome-screensaver-command --poke which
simulates activity.

I can confirm this. This is annoying if you're spending a lot of time
inside of kvm windows. I'm going to add a task against gnome-
screensaver. Perhaps they'll have some advice on how to solve this.
