Marked as a duplicate of bug 348699 - when the cursor is placed to the
left of the display it should always extend, not replace the display.
Bug 348699 covers this inconsistency in the behaviour between first
why it should disappear? that's not clear, please take an screenshot of

just click to the left of the '0' straight away). Click clear (Clr), and
then 'accidently' click to the left of the zero, or press the left arrow
key on the keyboard. The '0' will then not dissapear as it should, but
stay there. (
