after bug #450274 got fixed i get the same result with karmic, totem
shows a black screen when trying to play dvb-t. therefore i did some
research: it's not a hardware or driver issue as i tested totem on
serveal computers and my dvb-t device is working with me-tv and vlc.

Same here. DVB-T worked flawlessly with vlc, totem and mplayer in
Intrepid. After the upgrade, only mplayer is able to play the dvb
stream.

After some investigation, I think this is a codec error: In Intrepid
gst-fluendo-mpegdemux should be responsible for decoding the stream. But
in Jaunty, fluendo-mpegdemux conflicts with gst-plugins-bad (universe)
so it can't be installed. If I try with just fluendo and no plugins-bad,
totem shows
I have the same bug. DVB-T hardware is a Cinergy T2. Works perfectly in
Intrepid. Do you need any more infos?

No, it doesn' t. Launching Totem from the command line, then trying to
watch DVB doesn't give any kind of feedback.
