Binary package hint: gnome-session
Metacity doesn't start automatically at system boot with gnome-session,
I have to start it manually.
$ uname -r
2.6.28-11-generic
$ metacity --version
metacity 2.25.144
$ gnome-session --version
gnome-session 2.26.1
