using 'pulseaudio' in the new releases. I patched up my PC by removing
'pulseaudio' and installing 'esound' in its place. Now the Audio works and I

In Terminal, (Main menu - Accessories - Terminal), enter the following:
killall pulseaudio
sudo apt-get remove pulseaudio
sudo apt-get install esound
sudo rm /etc/X11/Xsession.d/70pulseaudio
