the issues described there are rather video driver ones than totem bugs,
open new bugs on the video driver you are using if you still get the
issue

Same happens here with Ubuntu 9.04 (standard, not in VirtualBox)
It occurs each time in fullscreen when menus disappear.

this only happens with visual effects enabled, so it seems to be a
Compiz issue. When disabling visual effects, everything works fine.
I found some bug reports which reported similar but mentioned that the
computer freezes. In my case,

UBUNTU it is installed under VIRTUALBOX 2.2 with installed VirtualBoxGuest
addons.
The error зовникает at transition in a full-screen mode after menu
disappearance, thus a sound works normally.
