Tried the GSA-T40N on a couple other boxes with no luck; ended up buying
a different USB writer from a different company. (Way past
return/exchange date for the Dell purchase.) I've come to the
conclusion that this particular unit was damaged, so I guess we can go
ahead and mark this bug report a
Update: I just tried my GSA-T40N with a beige box that has a basic
generic Hardy installation, and the device wasn't even recognized by the
USB hub controller. So either the drive is poorly designed, or it is
damaged.

I am having a problem with burning an audio cd (WAV). I try to make a
copy of an audio CD and when its 99% finished it ejects the cd then
loads it again automatically, brasero restarts a second instance of the
program on the desktop again but never finishes the cd. Later the cd
isnt recognized by t

Still not working. Brasero still fails to burn an audio CD, but now the
disc is ejected untouched after the unsuccessful burn. At least I'm not
burning coasters anymore.
