I guess the problem might be that the chess is taking too long time to
make its move, probably because timing is set to infinite.

Hi,
I have attached one image file , which shows the moves which i performed
(white), Now its computer's turn to make a move where It never makes a
move(black), observed it for more than 15 min. It doesn't make any move. Hope
it helps in reproducing the bug.

and then the GNU Chess hang forever and did not move:
