Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox
Start Rhythmbox then start playing the stream with the following URL: http://216.155.137.150:8002 Then, after a few minutes of playing, stop the playing by clicking on the play button. Now try to start playing the stream with the URL: http://ubuntu.hbr1.com:19800/ambient.ogg And you will receive an error dialog, "Couldn't start playback. Failed to open output device." If you then shutdown Rhythmbox then start it up. You can then play the stream. I used the above URLs as examples. I run into this problem any time I switch between streams. I use a buffer of 112 Kb and have cross-fading turned on. I am running Ubuntu 9.04 64bit. I do not run into the same problems when using Banshee.
