If I understand it correctly, the malformed file has the line
terminations set as CR/LF (Carriage Return followed by a Line Feed).
Please go upstream at http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=591811;
upstream did not quite understand your issue.
Anyway, I have just tried it
Now I send you a test text(named test.txt) as an attachment using
Evolution
Each line in test.txt is originally end with a Line Feed, which
there is no Carriage Return before. But maybe as you receive this file,
It has been changed, say the line terminations has been set as CR/LF.
