Evolution should not freeze at any time. Are you able to reproduce this
bug?

it's very easy to reproduce. Send you (with another mailer than evolution) a
big mail.
Open evolution and click on the new appeared email (IMAP account) then, until
the mail is fully downloaded, the interface is frozen.

evolution doesn't freeze, it's just busy loading the mail, that's most
likely known upstream

I was wrong. In fact, the mail who fill my mailbox was huge.
The interface is frozen only the time to download the email. (it tooks a few
minutes here, so I reported the bug)
