Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evince
I usually use the spacebar to scroll down in evince. But if I press the spacebar immediately after evince starts, it hides the sidebar instead. Since the first thing I usually want to do in a document is scroll down, this is an annoying behavior. I suspect it happens in part because the focus when evince first starts is on the sidebar pane, rather than the main pane (pressing the down arrow causes it to go to the next bookmark/thumbnail, rather than down a screen - this behavior is also annoying, but less so). I'm not sure why pressing the spacebar would cause it to close, though.
