Yeah I was able to reproduce this. If you rename a playlist and enter it
will rename. But if you click on other place that will not rename.

Confirmed in 12.04LTS and Raring Ringtail build. I think this should be
still in 12.10

Reproducible in the latest rhythmbox package in Karmic, which I assume
is still the same as in the report.
There's a description written above, which I don't really know how to
make any clearer. I have found, however that if you write the name and
click elsewhere in the sidebar it will rename
