Public bug reported: Binary package hint: yelp
Hello I have a hp pavilion dv6t 1030us laptop. I am running Ubuntu 9.04 with the latest Kernel and I have run into a problem with my sound. My sound card has been detected as the following Codec: IDT 92HD71B7X - Mixer: Intel G45 DEVCTG - STAC92xx Analog (DUPLEX) Audio device [0403]: Intel Corporation 82801I (ICH9 Family) HD Audio Controller [8086:293e] (rev 03) I parellely run windows vista and sound works perfectly fine. I also tried running Ubuntu 8.10 in live CD mode and sound works perfectly fine over there. However, I do not want to swtich to 8.10 and use 9.04. I run a 64bit version of ubuntu 9.04. Is there any way I can get the sound working ? I have tried lots and lots of solutions suggested on the ubuntu forums but to no avail. Could you please help me fix this problem ?
