So basically, this is: Moving files from an encrypted home directory is
slower than from a non-encrypted home directory because of using
copy/delete operations instead of move.
Is this correct?

Please, excuse my english; I'm from Chile... When I installed Ubuntu
karmic beta there was an option to encrypt my home folder; then, when I
logged in, it appeared a window, asking me if I wanted to confirm my
encryption... I decided to encrypt nothing and I closed that window.
Then came the
