I am only using the MSN protocol. I guess the people near me thing is
also enabled, but I could never figure out how to actually use that for
anything.
SO anyway, I have attached a screenshot of the menu that does not work.
As you can see, I am connected to msn and I see my

OK.
That's fair enough I guess. I really hope it gets implemented before
9.10 is released for real and Empathy is standard over pidgin. Pidgin
sends files just fine with the msn protocol, so a lot of people would be
disappointed about the new IM client. Those people include me.

not really true, pidgin sends those through the server and the
I am offcourse disappointed to hear that, but hopefully it will work in
the future. Sending files via MSN on windows is absolutely terrible in
terms of speed, so Empathy has the potential to surpass the original.
And I really hope it does, soon.
