@Teylo, @Sebastien: I'm happy to forward upstream but I cannot reproduce
the bug by creating a link to another partition. The only difference I
can see between Teylo's setup and mine is that I don't have any NTFS
partition. Teylo, could you confirm whether you see the same problem

I realized that the error always occurs when the link is to another disk.
In my case the home folder is in sda1 (ext4) and the the link's destination is
in sdb1 (NTFS).
When the link is created on sdb1 (NTFS) and moved to the sdb2 (NTFS), the error
also occurs.
