We are wondering if this is still an issue for you. If you can you
please delete all accounts in empathy(if any) and then delete
~/.config/Empathy ~/.gconf/empathy ~/.mission-control and try to create
accounts again. If that does not solve the problem can you please
install the development release
I no longer have the problem, but I am pointing to
http://ppa.launchpad.net/telepathy/ppa/ubuntu as a source in Ubuntu
9.10. According to Help/About in Empathy, I am using version 2.29.90.

Hi om26er,
I reopen this bug, as you asked. I tested Empathy feature in the Ubuntu
-9-10 -Karmic-Koala-beta and got a 'Network error' sign when created new
accounts; Jabber, Google talk.
Steps to reproduce the bug:
1.Open Empathy from Application-Internet-Empathy IM Client
2.Click the button
Are there any news about this bug? Has someone affected by this bug sent
the report upstream? May you tell us the bug number? Thanks in advance.
